How posting to Ghost works
Ghost is a longform destination in Bangers, the same way WordPress is. You share a thought (a voice note, a longer written brief, business context you already have on file) and the team drafts a full post in your voice: a title and a body with subheads. You review it, revise it if needed, and approve it. Once approved, it publishes to your site on schedule.
If you write for both Ghost and a shorter network, the same underlying idea can end up as two very different pieces of content: a full article on Ghost, and a two-line teaser somewhere else, each drafted for how that particular audience actually reads, not the same text copied across.
What Bangers knows about Ghost
Ghost has no hard character limit in Bangers. It follows the longform playbook: a title under 100 characters and a body of 500 to 1,200 words with subheads, written as a real post rather than a stretched-out short caption.
If a draft heading to Ghost ever arrives as a shorter plain note instead of a full longform piece, Bangers still publishes it by splitting the first line off as the title and posting the rest as the body, the same heuristic it uses for WordPress.
Ghost doesn't support threads. There's no chained-post concept on a blog, so a thread draft is rejected with a clear reason instead of being forced into a shape Ghost can't represent.
Ghost publishing through Bangers doesn't currently attach images: no generated image, and nothing you upload yourself through Telegram. The post publishes as title and body only.
Posts go live directly with a "published" status once you've approved them. There's no separate draft step inside Ghost itself; Bangers is where the review happens.
Connecting it
Connecting Ghost takes two fields: your site URL and an Admin API key.
The site URL is your Ghost site's address. The Admin API key comes from your Ghost admin: go to Settings → Integrations → Add custom integration, and copy the Admin API key it generates. It looks like an id and a secret separated by a colon.
Bangers checks the key against your site before saving it, confirming it can read your site's title, so a malformed key or a wrong site URL is caught right away rather than at publish time.
The Admin API key is scoped to the custom integration you created for it, so you can revoke access at any point from Settings → Integrations without affecting your own Ghost login or any other integration running on the site. The next publish attempt then fails with a clear reason until you reconnect with a fresh key.
When it fails
Nothing publishes without your approval first. If the actual publish to Ghost fails afterward (the Admin API key was revoked, the site is unreachable), you're notified in Telegram within a minute with the specific reason, and you can retry from there.
