How posting to Bluesky works
You give Bangers a thought: a voice note in Telegram, a message in the web app, or business context you've already shared. The team writes a draft sized for Bluesky, in your voice. You read it over, ask for changes, and approve it. Once you approve, it publishes on schedule to your connected Bluesky account.
What Bangers knows about Bluesky
Bluesky posts have a hard 300-character limit, and Bangers counts it the way Bluesky actually does: by grapheme, not by raw character count, so an emoji or an accented letter counts as one character, not several.
The drafting playbook treats Bluesky the same way it treats other short-post networks: a hook in the first 8 to 12 words, one idea, line breaks for rhythm. Bluesky's register is conversational and plainer than X, with no hashtags. If a thought needs more than one beat, Bangers can write it as a thread of a few short posts instead of forcing it into 300 characters; otherwise it's a single post.
Threads on Bluesky are real, not simulated: each post after the first carries a reply reference back to the thread's first post and to the post immediately before it, the same structure Bluesky's own app uses, so the thread reads correctly for anyone viewing it there.
A generated image can attach to a post: it uploads and embeds on the first post of a thread; the rest of the thread stays text-only. Bluesky's image size limit is small (about 1MB), so an oversized image is rejected rather than silently shrunk. Bluesky publishing doesn't yet support attaching a photo or video you upload yourself in Telegram, or a generated video.
Connecting it
Connecting Bluesky takes two fields: your handle and an app password.
Enter your handle without the leading @, just you.bsky.social or your custom domain handle. For the password, use an app password, not your real Bluesky password. Generate one from Bluesky's own Settings → App passwords screen; Bangers never asks for your main login.
When you submit both, Bangers logs in once to confirm the credentials work, then stores them for future publishes. If the app password is wrong or has been revoked, you'll see that immediately instead of finding out at publish time.
When it fails
Every post still needs your approval before anything goes out: nothing publishes automatically without you signing off first. If a publish itself fails after approval (an expired app password, a Bluesky outage, an image over the size limit), you get a message in Telegram within a minute explaining what happened, with the option to retry. Bangers also checks every part of a thread against the 300-character limit before it starts posting, so you won't end up with half a thread live and the rest rejected partway through.
